With September just a couple of weeks away it’s still a great time to be deep sea fishing NJ. The weather may be cooling but the fishing’s getting hot. We’ve seen a real mix being boated the last week or so and even though a lot had to go back there were some nice fat keepers. Blues, flounder, sea bass, weakfish and even some good sized croakers are showing up. As the water temp heats up so are the larger catches. Please remember that although the sun may be shining bright it’s always a good idea to bring along a hat, jacket or sweatshirt and gloves. Even at this time of year an ocean breeze can be bone chilling. If it’s a cloudy or overcast day or looks like it might sprinkle while your out be sure to bring along some rain gear, its always better to be prepared than not. Also, take along sun screen and sunglasses, even tough the Tara Anne has plenty of room to duck out of the sun. The last thing you want after having a great day pulling in fish is to go home looking like a lobster. We bring towels on board so you can clean up after the catch, but with the little ones, you might want to bring along something extra. Not everyone wants a tuna-tasting peanut butter and jelly sandwich And lastly, be sure to bring your camera, film, and fresh batteries. You just never know what you’re going to catch or see, and time after time we hear our customer say they wish they had brought their cameras to capture a great day and some wonderful memories. Deep sea fishing in NJ, there’s never been a better time.
