Fall Offers Outstanding Fishing

Posted on Sep 25, 2008 under Deep Sea Fishing NJ | No Comment

While the Deep Sea Fishing in NJ has been somewhat hampered by the unpredictable weather, don’t be fooled! There is still plenty of great fishing to be had at the New Jersey shore. If you’ve been fishing NJ for anytime then you know that fall can be an explosion of great fishing. Deep sea fishing NJ this time of year can be some of the best fishing you will ever experience. So, be patient calmer waters are only days away.

Even though the weather and high winds kept many boats at dock(including the Tara Anne) this week the boats that did make it out report very good catches.  White Marlin,  Swordfish and even a few nice yellow fins were all landed this week. Along with  nice catches of Sea Bass, Croakers and Dolphin one that weighed in at over 45 pounds.

So if your a fishing nut like me there is still plenty of good weather and great fishing to be had!

Believe it or not labor day is here. What started out looking pretty gray has turned out wonderfully sunny. The crowds have once again returned, the beaches are filling up and out on the water the fishings just fine.

Even though for many labor day marks the end of the summer season, as far as the the deep sea fishing goes there is still plenty of time. Fluke fishing ends in about a week but there are plenty of big fish just waiting to be had.

If you’re undecided what to do this week, come on down and deep sea fish NJ, there’s never been a better time!

Summer blues, not at the New Jersey Shore!

Posted on Aug 26, 2008 under Charter Boats New Jersey | No Comment

With September only a week away its easy for us sun lovers to get a little blue. Where did the summer go? They seem to pass faster every year. But, all is not forsaken, the weather is still gorgeous, the sun still warm and there is still plenty of good deep sea fishing to be had in NJ. Flounder season ends on September 7th and it seems like they almost know because they were trailing off this week. The Blue fishing, which also had been really hot just a week ago also seemed to dry up a little this week but, I have no doubt the speedsters will be back again soon. On a bright note the croakers and weakies have been hitting pretty good. If you have never been deep sea fishing in NJ now is the perfect time to try. If you’re the adventurous type and really like a challenge, there’s been several reports of 150-pound and larger bluefin tuna being boated just last week. Remember September is a great time to vacation at the Jersey Shore. There is still plenty to see and do. The weather is still wonderful and the crowds are down to a trickle. The Weather may be cooling but the Fishing’s Getting Hot!

Posted on Aug 17, 2008 under Deep Sea Fishing NJ | No Comment

With September just a couple of weeks away it’s still a great time to be deep sea fishing NJ. The weather may be cooling but the fishing’s getting hot. We’ve seen a real mix being boated the last week or so and even though a lot had to go back there were some nice fat keepers. Blues, flounder, sea bass, weakfish and even some good sized croakers are showing up. As the water temp heats up so are the larger catches. Please remember that although the sun may be shining bright it’s always a good idea to bring along a hat, jacket or sweatshirt and gloves. Even at this time of year an ocean breeze can be bone chilling. If it’s a cloudy or overcast day or looks like it might sprinkle while your out be sure to bring along some rain gear, its always better to be prepared than not. Also, take along sun screen and sunglasses, even tough the Tara Anne has plenty of room to duck out of the sun. The last thing you want after having a great day pulling in fish is to go home looking like a lobster. We bring towels on board so you can clean up after the catch, but with the little ones, you might want to bring along something extra. Not everyone wants a tuna-tasting peanut butter and jelly sandwich And lastly, be sure to bring your camera, film, and fresh batteries. You just never know what you’re going to catch or see, and time after time we hear our customer say they wish they had brought their cameras to capture a great day and some wonderful memories. Deep sea fishing in NJ, there’s never been a better time.
